Some Storytailor users will need the capacity for multiple authors/editors to access the blog posts on a central blog. In some cases it’s simply to author posts and send them up to the blog. In other cases multiple people will need access to a post to co-author, or to author and edit from two different people. Storytailor makes this easy, as long as a couple of key conditions are met.
If two users are signed in to Storytailor | Blog under the same account, each can see all the uploaded blog posts that are published from the account in the All Posts pane, even if the posts were created on another computer. However, they won’t both be able to load and edit the posts created on another computer without a bit of setup. Most prominently, the post needs to be uploaded so that the second author/editor can download the uploaded content, and both computers will need to have access to the images in a given blog post.
The first time a second author loads a blog post composed on a different computer, they’ll see a “File Not Found” messages when opening the post.
When you see a “File Not Found” message, Storytailor has simply lost touch with that file. In Storytailor we don’t store an extra copy of your image, but rather a path or link to your original. If that path changes (even with a folder name change) the link will be broken and you’ll see the “File Not Found” message.
This can be fixed by right-clicking any image and then re-linking the file in the new location. And as long as all the images are available to the second user and the file names all match, Storytailor will re-link all the images from the original blog post in one go.
Then, when the second user is done making all necessary changes and has synced/uploaded the blog post, the updates will be available to view by both users.
